Or maybe it turns inanimate matter into energy. It would explain the beam. If you convert mass to energy it actually would make sense physics-wise. I think.

Pretty much, it doesn't effect Satoshi at all. It has no lasting effect except to show that Mewtoo is unstoppable and awesome.
