Philadelphia has some really cool places. There's The Franklin Institute which is a really cool old science museum thing, among a with bunch of old historic sites and a nice art museum.

There is also New York, but it's not fun as unless you mind fighting crowds. It's sort of worth it for the affordable Japanese manga and games though....
I think Futa lives in a place where "affordable" manga is easier to find. << At least bootleg ones. -shot-

It's different story of you go to the Borders to get the US English subbed or Kinokuniya for the unsubbed. The price are insane...

I will leave for Japan next Monday... You are going to Osaka, right?
Nope, going to Kyushu University... way over in Fukuoka. It's not around anything ;( Going to have a lengthy trip just to get to Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, etc. whenever I want to travel.

I go to Book-Off for used manga Japanese series that I can't get in english since Sun-Ken Rock, The Breaker, History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi, and Aiki are probably never going to get brought over. I have pretty much an 1/8 of HSDK already.

It costs 5-ish bucks for used manga that might as well be new, so it's actually pretty affordable.

Though seeing as it costs $30 for the train to New York I probably would be just as well off if I ordered online. I buy 5 volumes at a time usually, so it's pretty much the same amount of money as if I would of just ordered it online.

Yup. It's amazingly cheap here. But still considered quite expensive by living standards... For 2 bucks we can have a decent lunch (not inside city, but city outskirts)

ugh, I do not like these reversed classroom things.

I mean, with ME270, my statics class, it works, because the lecture videos are literally 5-10 minutes long as promised (some even shorter, but they are concise and to the point). And what we do in class is actually nice, because the professor actually does examples. The textbook is a MESS though for this class; like the few HW problems I had to do in the past week have been a nightmare as numbers don't add up AT ALL. Honestly, the day 110 + 70 = 100, I'm going to die.

But with my ECE201 class? In class, he just throws us a problem and makes us do it, without really a prior example. He does go over it afterwards, but eh. And his videos are quoted to be 5-10min long, but so far I've seen like one video under 10 minutes. And what's worse? Oh, 8 videos for Tuesday, all over 10 minutes long. I fucking started at noon, and it's 2. I basically spent 2 hours watching these videos. For one class that's 1 hour and 15 minutes long. I spent more time on the lecture videos than the length of the class. And he goes REALLY fast in these videos. Though the single video for Thursday is only 13 minutes long, but it covers a much more complex topic (versus the review shit for Tuesday).

omfg.

i'm hungry.
