Paul the Octopus was an octopus that became famous for correctly predicting multiple games in the 2010 World Cup. What is ever more amazing is that he never got one prediction wrong.
Octopuses have tentacle-like arms, and Paul was good at guessing results. That's the basic moral of the joke.
Spyro Year of the Dragon had a Badass penguin that kicked ass a bonus level playable character. He could fly and hover because he had been raised by hummingbirds.
It was a joke that I knew nobody was going to get, but one that I had to make because I love the first three spyro games.
