I dunno what to say, but i somewhat disagree
Ryuu things doesn't have to stick with EXE, even they're both X generation

yea, Ryuusei is new and there's nothing we can compare with the other rockman series
except that the main is Rockman

One thing that we could say is
In Ryuu, Rockman is NOT a one-man being
He was a fused version of two beings, which are War-Rock and Subaru

This thing is different, might be kinda close to Z generation
Which Rockman was made, through fusion of 2 things, a human, and a Live Metal

Everyone else is different, because Ryuusei is a different show. They didn't write everyone exactly the same, or there would have been no point in changing from EXE.

I think they may have based the new characters in Ryuusei from EXE, but they may not be direct incarnations....

So, what I think is:

Subaru = Netto
Rockman (Denpa-henkan)/War Rock = Rockman EXE
Misora = Meiru
Harp Note = Roll EXE (lol my user)
Luna =Yaito (both blonde and rich, bossy and a bit spoilt)
Gonta = Dekao (fat and likes to eat ;
Kizamaro = I can't think of an equivilanet except for Higure

Bottom line: Misora/Harpnote is similar and/or somewhat based off of Meiru and Roll due to the need to create something familiar for us as the audience to identify with; if we assume that Misora is the new Roll, then we can adjust to the new series better and supposedly enjoy it more since we can build a relationship between the characters and ourselves.

Think of that: Savers has Agumon, Raramon and Gaomon, which are based on Agumon, Palmon ( with a bit Arbormon in the Mix ) and Gabumon. Yet Savers and Adventure are not connected.
At the same time they ofcourse vary from those they are based on. That includes their Characters.
Some holds true for Rockman.

Come on, do you really want to see Clones of the same Characters again and again?

Thinking of that: Misora might be a readhead, but Harpnote is classic Role Blonde.
