I honestly don't totally get what exactly legendaries are in Pokemon.
My closest guess is they're like Magic the Gathering's Planeswalkers or Legendary creatures where according to canon only one of them exist and can be in play on the field at a time.

I have no idea. Though the stuff NPCs keep telling me is actually pretty fascinating in this game.
Also, apparently people do eat pokemon.

Still, now that I've played a bit of this, I would like to play the others. If only to learn more about the setting.

I like how I've been using my Talonflame which I got from a Fletching on Route 2 more than the fire starter.
