Wasn't really asking, just saying I was gonna buy it, but ended up wording that poorly.

I really don't feel comfortable with anything except buying Windows for some reason.
okay. ;u; Nobody I know that goes that school is online right now anyway.

Never mind, Jun Fu capacitors or something in that one.

Apparently those like to fail spectacularly....

I assume that you did the pin test to see it doesn't come on?

My brother did. It's very much dead.

I'm just trying to find a replacement online while educating myself with enough knowledge to choose one. It's not going well.

Well, look at your hardware. How much power does your computer need? Get a power supply that supplies that much power. No need to go too much over. But bad idea to go under. Brand and shit really doesn't matter; it's the part that is most prone to dying anyway.

I've honestly no idea how to figure out how much power is needed....

I'm running a Gigabyte GA-MA785GT-UD3H motherboard with what I think is a Phenom II X3 CPU, a 7850 HD 2gb Radeon Graphics Card, and a Raidmax Smilodon case and I'm just got no idea how to figure it out.
Well... I went to Asus Site and it recommended 600 W for what you wrote here... :S

Maybe you can try google for "power consumption calculator". There will be a lot of tools that helps.
