That's not what I wanted.
I wasn't expecting full EXP for capturing.
Nor was I expecting a boost from the Exp. Share.
All I wanted was the formulas to not be weighted.
Free has all the feels.
Though... I do have to say. I actually wasn't sure how they were going to approach Rin getting kicked off the Relay Team. But then, like he fucking screwed up on the 100m Free. And then. Once he started raging?? It kind of became "obvious". I MEAN REI WAS RIGHT IN IT BEING THE ONLY LOGICAL SOLUTION. LIKE WTF; he basically borked the fourth wall with that.
It was definitely worth the DQ in terms of the story.
However, IRL, that would be the fucking stupidest thing to do ever in a competition.
Because probably that would've risked Samezuka's advancement too. Like, they could've been DQ'ed too.
But they didn't. Only Iwatobi did.

lol Yeah. It was stupid, but eh... Story. And feels. All of the feels. Free was seriously NOTHING like I was expecting it to be. I thought it would be a mostly fanservice anime with pretty animation. But nope. It rips your heart out.
