So, the nightly channel is literally nightly new stuff.

Aurora channel is probably, "Oh hey, yesterday's nightly stuff worked. Let's add it to Aurora."

There has to be an offset, or else the Aurora channel would be the same as nightly, but with fancier features.

Where stable is stable. beta is mostly stable. developer is updated one or two times a week and is just a summary of good nightly builds. while nightly is nightly.

But Firefox always had this thing where it BOTHERED you about updates. And when you are applying an update, it kind of makes it obvious. :| Or at least Seamonkey still makes it super obvious. Since I don't use Firefox as a primary or secondary browser outside of these school computers. (I mostly use it as tertiary???)

So Rapid Release just became a bit of a burden?

It's got slower development. And most of the updates they do push out are either security or just updates to Gecko.
