Argh! I tried to post something and it went kablooey on me! Ah well, Take #2:
Bandwagons are fun! Let me jump upon it.
Personally I'm not a big fan of romance, but trawling through this thread gave me an idea or two, so I'll give it a shot. Now, it appears to me that an argument re Misora is that she's the new 'Roll', so to say. However, the little knowledge I have of RnR2 suggests to me that she would be more comparable to Protoman/Chaud. Why? Well, she appears to hold the role of good friend to the main character (Subaru/Lan) but in RnR2 this comes under doubt (e.g. the betrayal thing) and you have to fight her all over again. This to me mirrors more the role Enzan plays in the Exe games then the role Maylu does. Now, I know she is female, predominately pink and not a 'rival' persay, but appearance and personality notwithstanding, she seems to hold the 'Blues' role in the games. And anyway, Harpnote has a scarf in her design. (Scarf = Blues. QED.)
Do not fear, this rambling shall now turn to shipping!
If Misora does fill Blues' shoes (forgive the pun) in RnR, then for her to be involved romantically with Subaru does not work. That is, best friends can have roaring brawls every week and still get along fine; however, to have the same in a romantic relationship would be far too complicated to bog gameplayers down with and.. it just wouldn't fit in with the tone of, well, anything with a demographic like RnR's. So for Misora to be simply good friends and nothing else with Subaru works best for me both my own opinion and logic.
As for Luna, as I am unfamiliar with her personality in the game, I'll reserve judgement for now. Indeed her anime persona is far too 2-dimentional, but if there is more to her in the game as people say, it may prove an interesting match of personalities. I do not support her, but I'm willing to wait and see.
Personally, and I have used that word too much in this post, I think the situation of romantically-naiive and oblivious Subaru far better (and much more entertaining!) than any other option. But this is a shipping thread, so you may have my logical judgement. Luna fans rejoice at extra evidence, and apologies to Misora fans, for she is actually one of my favorite characters. I think I just interpret her differently from how most people do.
