I've been trying to tweak my team to make it good. This team is one I want to build. Tips would be appritiated.

1.Ninetails: Modest nature
Fire blast, Confuse ray, Solarbeam, Safeguard
Id swap FireBlast for Flamethrower, for PP and accuracy.
HP(Grass) instead of Solarbeam.

Elecmon;1470 said:
2. Hitmonchan: Adament nature
Thunder punch, Fire punch, Ice punch, Close combat
Beauty Contest?
No need for Fire Punch and Ice Punch. Close combat is a good STAB attack. Low on PP tho.
Elecmon;1470 said:
3. Golduck: Mild nature
Psychic, Surf, Ice beam, Rest
Seems okay to me.
Elecmon;1470 said:
4. Venasuar: Sassy nature
Sleep powder, Earthquake, Frenzy plant, Protect
Sludge Bomb for Earthquake, Leech seed for Protect.
Elecmon;1470 said:
5. Pidgeot: Hasty Nature
Air slash, Mirror move, Roost, Double team
Really don't know about this, very little people run Pidgeots in their team.
Elecmon;1470 said:
6. Wigglytuff: Relaxed nature
Psychic, Sing, Substitue, Double edge
Seismic Toss for Double Edge. Wish for Sub. Psychic is okay I guess.

Your team's pretty okay, just that a few of your pokemon are running low PP movesets, which can be risky.
Anyways, props to you for the (only) UU team around here:].

Just wondering, since I'm not a competative player (especially ATM since Nintendo WiFi doesn't like Vista), what would the best attack layout for each Pokemon be for the Elite Four?

If I need to post my updated team for help, I'll edit this post.

You don't really need to bother much on your strategy/movesets of your pokemon for Elite Four. Just have a few Sweepers in your team and you're set.

Play their weaknesses. It REALLY works. I beat the E4 with pokemon ranging fron lvl. 48 to 52.

How do I make HP a grass type?

What would you suggest I put in instead?

I picked Psychic becuase it counters fighting types.

HP(type) is predetermined at the moment you catch the pokemon. You can't change it. Say, save your game, catch a Vulpix, teach it the Hidden Power TM, use it on say, a water and a rock pokemon, if it returns Super Effective for both of em, you have got yourself a HP(Grass). It can be really tedious to get your Nature + HP type the way you want it, but it's very worth it.

I'm pretty sure there's a formula for predetermining HP, but I don't really have the time to go understand it.

Hmm, Earthquake's a natural choice, really no idea on the final spot. Sorry.

Well, if you're making a tournament team, Natures are pretty much important.
Else for casuals, you just gotta make sure your Nature aint conflicting with ur Pokemon. Say a -sp attk Nature on Mewtwo.

Well I've been breeding Tyrogue with the nature I want, but that nature get in the way of how I want him to evolve. The nature I want involves more to atk, but because of that his attack stat is higher so he wants to evolve into a Hitmonlee every time.

If you have the cash, goto the department store and buy up the EV booster types you need to raise the value you need increased to offset the nature boost.

The only problem with that is most of the time those EV boost don't take effect untill a higher level. The first time I bred a Tyrogue with the correct nature I gave him Def EV boosters and his Def stat didn't go up, until after he evolved into a Hitmonlee.

Getting 100 points into Def at lvl1 is going to make a difference, plus you can probably battle def EV pokes exclusivly until it reaches the evo level.

In addition to the EV booster method, you can always pray that you get a low Atk IV and a high Def IV since those do kick in at low levels more than EVs do.

Well, I'm not sure of it, but my teams is eventually to be like this:

cb9c3ed893dc7a592263b24cd4c9619a.png

Why not more of DP-Pokemon? Well, feel free to kill me, but I think most of them are just as ugly as... the darkest night you can imagine ^^'' except for Luxray, Palkia, Dialga, Erekiburu (don't know its English name) and Lucario.

Thus, Typhlosion is ever since my favorite (same with Lugia) and starting with Leaf Green/Fire Red I started training Articuno and just love it, too. The other ones on this team... well let's see. It's still one more week till D/P are gonna be released in Germany xD
