yeah - They kind of have no personalities in the games (at least that´s how I feel) - You control them, yes - but you almost never hear them talk

The Everstone does it - you can get one from prof Oak´s assistant in the Eirin´s Center at the entrance to Rock tunnel (east of Cerulean City, Route 10); I think you need at least 20 different Touhous to get it.

What megumi said: Touhoumon is based on Pokemon, so pressing b while it tries to evolve stops the evolution.
