I'm aware it was made years ago, but the fact that the the characters are either drawn off balance or their skates aligned in a way they shouldn't makes it look like the animators didn't actually bother to properly reference skating.

Well he wasn't kicking it to the other side though. So it's fine. He just hit it into the air, and the setter got it, and sent it to the spiker. So all's good.
