It'll be a 2D kinda like Zero/ZX series, but I want to add/mess with the following:
  • To dash backward while shooting or slashing.
  • Add a cover system for avoiding fire, cause there will be bullets a plenty.
  • A physical sword maybe, but it'll cause damaging by crushing not cutting.
  • Dual wielding, so you can you shoot and slash, shoot twice as much, or cut with two sword.
  • Maybe use three planes for the stage allowing freely switching between those planes, it'd be hard to do correctly though.
  • Debating whether I should mess with walljump. It's kinda a staple of the series, but I kinda want to mess with it.
  • The melee weapons other than the sword will all be just as useful as the sword.

Meh, I should probably plan it out first, get some of the sprites done for the main character, and then see if I can get someone to code an engine. That's the one thing I need that I can't do myself....

Dobby never meant to kill, he only meant to maim, or seriously injure.

Best. Line. EVER.

I think I shall see if I can find an engine to use as a base for a Megaman fan sequal I want to make just for fun.
Quoting this post even though more related to the other posts following this one since it's smaller xP

Anywho, your ideas sound epic. I'd totally play it :D

Gamestop might need to rethink it's pricing scheme otherwise their only customers will be parents and children, they'll have driven away the hardcore gamers.
They drove me away when I took in about $400 worth of (semi-recent, all manuals/cases, no scratches, fingerprints, or ANY blemishes what so ever) games and they offered me $30 plus an extra 20% due to a promotion at the time o_o... I sold everything on ebay for about $300.

I like Best Buys "used game" system where they sell stuff as cheap as $10. Though as far as pre-orders and such goes, Walmart usually has a $10 gift card with quite a bit of new releases. Can't apply it to the order, but, it's friggin' Walmart. They sell everything . (even though I hate them since they fired me just to save money </3)

Anywho, I'm rambling and probably off topic... Even though this is pages... *Dies* (I am sick and haven't slept, leave me alone! *cries*)

Oh, anyone here actually see a 3DS in person yet?

I had a interview ("1st of 3" again even though I had 2 several months ago. Didn't get called back =/) at Best Buy recently and one was on display. I played with the focus wheel thingy, looked from different angles and even stared at it for a while. Couldn't see anything out of the ordinary compared to a normal DS. I assumed it was broken being a floor model and all.I stuck around the gaming area in general while waiting for the interviewer, and someone actually came over and made comments to self about how "awesome the 3d effect is." went back, still didn't see it.

I think I'm immune to whatever technology they're using :(

Oh, and I haven't disappeared again. I've been on and off lurking the forums, just been a bit busy job hunting, being sick, some life stuff (that's a lie, I have no life still ;D) and such so I haven't really replied much o_o. Not that anyone probably cares, just... Saying o_o

In other news! There's a microscopic 0.0001% chance I'm moving to Belgium?! :D...

Oh, random props to people for suggestion various anime in this thread before. I have watched and or been watching some of the suggestions, or better yet, been finding stuff to watch by using the "similar anime that shares tags" thing on Anime News Network. I wont have to abuse you guys for a good while in theory :3 (I've used ANN before, but, usually going through the list I don't find anything new or anything interesting. Stuff outside my general search range turns up more stuff ;D)

So THANK YOU ALL :D

My brother has one, it is awesome.
The 3d effect is pretty awesome, although I've heard there are some people that can't see it. You might be one of those few. Wow, that would totally suck if you are immune to the 3D effects....

I'll suggest some more anyways. I like sharing anime.

Tokyo Majin, it's an anime that I've heard takes a lot of influence from Shin Megami Tensei, it's not the prettiest, but the animation smoothness of the fights makes up for it. The end is one of the most epic fights ever.

History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi. Again, not the prettiest anime, but you can learn martial arts from it. The manga is much better, but the anime actually stayed true to it's source without much filler.

Kurokami, it's based on a korean manga and it's filled with epic fights and mind trauma. I saw it debut in english at Otakon, half the people left after what looked like a main character gets hit by a semi. I never finished, so I don't know how it ends. Actually, how did I forget to finish this one?

Break Blade, most original mecha series ever. They figured out a way to force a mech to use throwing knives. It's awesome. It's basically one of my favoritest series ever.

Hellsing Ultimate. Fan sequal to Bram Stokers Dracula. Vampire with a switch stuck on "god mode" vs supernatural bad guys. They figured out how to make a show about an invincible character interesting. It's awesome.

I think that should be good. I hope I didn't suggest thing I've already suggested previously....

Thanks for the support. Just a question, but what games from the Megaman (X, Zero, and ZX specifiacally) series have you played (if any)? If you have, what annoys about the game and/or what would you like in the game to make it better/awesomer? I like have people critique my ideas, it makes them grow.

A friend of mine has one, and I get the chance to play with it quite a bit. You don't see eye-popping 3D, but you definitely see depth at the right perpendicular angle. And most definitely blur at the wrong angle. And if you close one eye and then switch, you definitely see two images as well.

It won't work if you are blind in one eye. >_> /shot/
