So if they become magical girls, the creature will grant them one wish....
Even if it's a miracle....
Somehow I think that creature is leaving something out of the deal.
You don't get a bloody miracle for nothing.
So I'm going to assume that eventual price for this so called miracle will be pricey.
So let's see, form contract with the creature, get a miracle wish, fight witches.

I'm assuming that schoolgirls are being targeted because of how naive they are. At least they are informed they can die while fighting witches.

No. Instead it has suicide cults and murders and crazy old people and talking dolls.
It is... but if you ride along with it... it kind of makes sense in the end.
Prediction: They are going to be forced to fight the witches forever, and there are some other side effects that it left out.
I'm going to assume that Kyubey's explanation of witches coming from bad emotion like hate is bullshit and go out on a limb and say that it probably somehow involves some sort of horrible transformation of magical girls.
Prediction is off, I can say that. Honestly, it has one of the weirdest plot twists I've seen.
