It seems that Shearer is one of the writers of the mini-series too?

So, it could be something like what Level 5 is doing with Inazuma Eleven and Danball Senki which is air half the series, release the game, air the rest of the series.

But I kind of find it silly, because I don't follow that particular blog of osiem's (I follow her art and aywas blogs). But when I saw the post on my dash, I was like blade just reblogged an epic GIF, as usual. Then, I saw voxeljello and was like, "Isn't that osiem?". << And osiem it is.
