The way these episodes are going reminds me of Power Ranges. Hope this story arc isn't till Tribes. Or at least they'll harness enough power before ep. 45.
Though I love Kizamaro's "Subaru they went on a date! They went to the amusement park, the beach, and went fishing! It was so cool!" I mean. Who stalks a date then tell someone how great it was?

Stories like this simply have a few intro episodes, then a bunch of monsters of the week, followed by a halfway plot-related run, followed by more monsters of the week, and then the plot is resolved in the end.

The last few episodes of the series go back into Plot though, so it's good.
