Private Message Spam

We have recently had a number of spam bots use the Private Messaging service.

If you receive one, sorry! There is nothing we can really do to stop them before they make their move.

However, we can stop them quickly as soon as we know that they are a bot.

In the top right of the private message you get, you will see this icon.

Just click it, and it'll let you report the private message A quick note of "spam" is all we need, as it'll give us a copy of the message.

Hmm, i believe VB can do this, what if the 'members' have to make at least 1 post on the forum before they can send a PM.

I know Onemanga are able to do this and are VB, as they had an influx of bots. It would stop them sending PM spam at least for now?

That's some weird user grouping, and tbh, I dunno how to get that all set up. Requires using the automatic upgrading, which I've never played with.

When I reponded to my PM inbox, it was already deleted, FWIW ...... ......
