Philips Monitor Going Haywire

I'm using an old (not flat screen) Philips monitor. Now, it's going crazy. The controls for brightess and contrast, plus others, suddenly pop up and moves on its own even though I didn't press any of the buttons. Does it mean that there's a virus or just mere the buttons are lose..? Can it be saved? Do I need to change the screen? If you could just let me know on what I should do, it would be very much appreciated since it's starting to annoy me with lots of pop-ups. ~_~"

I think I just need a new one. But any other way out would be nice..
