New Mega Man Series Headed to DS?
Capcom's next Mega Man project has taken on a life of its own at Protodude's Rockman Corner. There's definitely something coming, since a new Robot Master Design Contest just got announced in the pages of Coro Coro Magazine. A new source at Japanese forum 2channel suggest that the game won't be a Wii fighter, as originally rumored, but instead a new Mega Man DS series.
Currently under the working title "New Mega Man" (or "Shin Rockman"), the rumor states this new project would replace the current Mega Man DS line, the bland and boring Star Force games. New Mega Man would return the games to more Mega Man.EXE-style play with traditional Mega Man action elements blended in. While this description sounds plausible - the Star Force brand is clearly on its way out - note that there's a single source on this with no assets to back up his/her claims. For now take this as the massive rumor that it is.
