I can make AMVs? Bet you'd never expected this from me So yeah, I was playing with iMovie and finally finished my first AMV. I lost the song translation, and only had 4 Savers episode on my desktop so =/ I don't know, I've played around with iMovie before, and made a really ugly 1/7 AMV and then I deleted it, so I made a new one. Oh, and iMovie screwed up at 1:31 on the video, the two Masaru's aren't supposed to be like that D= At east it's better than some of the ones I saw on YouTube ;D Wait but doesn't that mean I wasted my scanlating time making an AMV? *hides*
"Gallantmon's kick. perfect timing on that. otherwise needs some work on timming." i gave it 3 Stars. It was ok. Like i said, gallantmon/dukemon's kick was perfect timming. I think that was the best timming & scene combination i ever seen. If you have more moments like that in ur AMVs, they will be much better.
Well, that is my first (and only) AMV, so yeah >.< But thanks~ I really wanna learn how to make awesome AMVs like Kazemon and Hagaren Gao, so I can enter the AMV contest in Anime North sometime ;D
i was good for your first time. i've made a few transformers AMVs. I know it's a headache to get the timming right, but it will truely make the video 10 times better!
Aw, thanks Anywho, not too bad for your first vid! Certaintly better than mine ^^; the timing was pretty good, song was fun. It's not even bogged down by effects like most first AMVs! I'd defenately watch another by 'ya! How is iMovie? Easy to use?
Yeah, iMovie is pretty simple and straight forward once you get the hang of it, but it can get confusing if you don't know anything and are a beginner like me. I used a tutorial for a bit before I got it ^^; But I haven't used another program, so I can't compare it to anything. I hate overloading AMVs with effects, they just get plain annoying, so I try to avoid them (just like "Filters" in Photoshop). And thanks
For such limited resources, that was pretty good. Agreed, the kick was awesome. I thought the evos worked pretty well for the pre-vocal part. But they got kinda boring as the song went on and they kept apearing.

yeah, i'm quoting myself. I though back to when i made my first attempt at an AMV and remembered when i posted it on TFW2005. The first response i got was a TOTAL (link) slam. i agree it wasn't the best, but "grrrr"! I dont want you to feel as if i was slamming your video. i just felt bad myself about posting that "more constructive and complementive" comment as your first response. Anywho, you video is/was pretty darn good for the first time. And i only gave it a 3 out of 5 stars b/c i am a bit of a amv fanatic on youtube. there's only a handful out there worth the five star rating and none of thoes are mine. Just keep making them and you'll find different little things to make them better and better.

I don't want to flame your boards or anything like that, but that's sorta the reason I'm at DATS, because I like small forums. And Kazemon, I'm so sorry, I re-watched your believer amv and realized that I copied you in some parts ;_;
Nonono, on the part where there's the burst evolution and Yoshino changes to Ikuto just like it did in yours and almost the same timing and something else that I forgot >.<
Sorry, If this is reviving and old topic but Magna I liked your amv as a matter of fact I faved it on youtube. Yeah the timing and stuff may not be all that significant and may seem random at times but the song choice and scenes were pretty well chosen. I must say that song is very Great 1st time hearing it! I hate amvs where people set clips of an episode IN THE EXACT order they occur to a random song. At least you didn't do that. You had enough creativity to scramble clip orders. Pretty good for a 1st try. You should make more. Savers can never have too many amvs Expert or beginner alike. Oh, and I tried iMovie at school it's pretty good. It don't freeze EVERY MOUSE CLICK and 24/7 like windows movie maker! I was gonna do some amvs at school only to find the macs their had no AVi codecs ".
Wow, thanks ^^; Hehe, yeah, I was looking at some of the YouTube ones and was "o_o I can do better than this" and did it just to prove myself about that point xD Oh yeah, I should download some more Savers raws while I have decent speed(thanks for reminding me ^^), then I'll make some more when I got my computer back (~6 weeks). YOU ARE AMAZING... I would keel over and die if i went a day without MY computer. And thanks for the kudos on my amvs. Actually you should try vegas. It's pretty straight froward and user friendly. Their are tutorials all over youtube. I kinda feel dumb because i found them AFTER i figured out how to use the program 0_o" and knowing about the tutorials would have probably saved me a weeks worth of time.
Ah, sorry about the late reply, but I can't live without a computer too, but the one I was talking about was my main on that has all of my stuff ^^; Is Vegas even available for Macs? Because that's all I have.
oooouch.... Man, i'm not sure if SONY vegas supports Macs. I know Adobe stopped making premier for MAcs a while back too. Man, Macs sure are missing out on alot. I for fact Final Cut pro is supported for Macs. tho i have NOT the slightest Clue on how to use it and on top of that i heard it' don't have a very user friendly interface to it. It might be able to run on a Mac. I've heard Mac fans talking 4 the longest about how Macs are soooo much "better" than PCs because they have backwards compatibility and can supposedly run windows programs too. I don't know. I'm a PC person. to me Macs are annoying. that's all we have at school in our art classes and Adobe products run like CRAP on them. they are 2.9 gigahertz processors with 2gb ram each. and they still run like crap. I just think the BIG screens are VERY pretty!!! but thats about it. Hmmm... i really wish i could help you right now. I'm gonna go search around to see if their are any Vegas products for Macs.
Yeah, Macs need more love. I'll try and find Final Cut Pro, but otherwise, I could still stay with iMovie I'm probably not going to make that many amvs anyway ~.~ But thanks To be honest, I tried making one before, and couldn't get past 30 seconds of it, so then I just made and finished this one, but it still is my first one, if you call hen other one a "test". At least I got to know something about iMovie(I forgot most of the stuff anyway) ;D
