Digimon Character Themes

Everyone who knows me probablly knows that I make AMVs, right? Well, I'd like to make a few character tributes. But the characters that I want to make tributes for are just IMPOSSIBLE to find songs for! So I was wondering if anyone could help me out here.

I'd love to make AMVs for Yoshino/Yoshi, Cody/Iori and Jenrya/Henry. I'd really prefer the song to be in English, but I suppose I would at least try a song that was in Japanese, or another language entirely. Oh, and no suggesting the character's image song/Season's theme song/character's VA's song because that's cheap ;p

Note that I am not ASKING for the songs, as I beleive that is against's Dats' rules (Isn'it?), just song tiles and artists and stuff, and I'll look into them and see if they are useable and stuff.

And just for fun, if there are any other songs that you think match any other Digimon character, feel free to post them as well! Maybe you'll inspire some AMVs, or at least some decent conversation ^^

(Just keep Yosh, Cody and Jen in mind please!)

Sorry to say i dont have anything really, but i would like to wish you good luck. and its nice to see someone making a tribute to Iori since i dont really think there is that many out there for him (Or at least from what i see after checking for over one second lols XD )

I beleive I found all of two Iori tributes on Youtube. One was quite good, one was decent, but I'd still like to make one for the little guy because between Davis, Ken, and KarixTK videos (Eh? Im using dub names again), he obviously doesn't have much going for him as far as amvs are concerned ^^;

Let me know if you think of anything! Ah, and Scipio, thanks for clearing up the bit about the songs :3

looking out for the little guy lols :D (personally i think he deserves a little more attention, after what he has done in that show)

Also i did find something that i think might be good for Yoshino... ironically i found it here on DATS so i wonder if i am wasting my time telling you since you might find it anyway.... but...

Gah, can't remember if Iori ever got to know his dad at all before he died... anyway, the song's called "Welcome to the Black Parade" by My Chemical Romance, but it's not really useful if Iori doesn't remember anything about Hiroshi. Another good one might be "Neo Melodramatic" by Porno Graffiti. It's Japanese, and I don't have the full version of it, but it's about a boy who fights through his fears.

Not sure who this song would be better for, Yoshino or Jenrya, or maybe it doesn't quite fit either, but it's "Keep Holding On" by Avril Lavigne. If we call them the Keeper characters, then this sounds like a Keeper's image song.

Oooh! Another song that might work for Yoshino (and is pun-tastic to boot) would be "Lithium Flower" by Scott Matthew, it's the first ED song for Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex. Basically describes a diverse, awesome girl. ;)

Jenrya's a complex kid, it's hard to think of something that best describes him in song. But he was a peace lover, so "Waiting on the World to Change" by John Mayer might be right. "If Everyone Cared" by Nickelback also would explain his view on the world when it comes to using Digimon as tools of war. "On Call" by Kings of Leon would be all right for a Jenrya/Shuichon spotlight share, I guess. And I just want to throw out "Brother Lee" by Citizen Cope because the song's cool and Lee is his last name. XD

"Extraordinary" by Mandy Moore might also work for either Iori or Yoshino, not sure who it fits better. I'll try to think of some more.

Maybe the song "Anything But Ordinary" by Avril Lavinge for Yoshino... ^^ I thought the song was a good one for Mina from Sailor Moon, but...the song could also fit Yoshino. lol If I get Sailor Moon DVDs, I may do the Mina trbute.....


....WAIT, why am I GIVING YOU ADVICE? lol I could AMV these things myself! ....then again, Im very curious how you'll do a Yoshino tribute ^^

Another Song for Yoshino might be "Stronger" by Britney Spears ( before she became crazy ), which is about a Girl who becomes stronger, reflecting Yoshinos change from a "damsel in Distress", how some people would call her, to the badass Girl she is.

Since Scipio gave it the OK, would you be able to set me up some DDLs? One place I downloaded music from stopped providing music, and one is epicly failing right now (I'm searching for AUDIO and Im getting VIDEO). Any of the songs you mentioned would be awesome.

You know, I watched Booncy's Rika tribute using that song, so now I can only see it as a Rika vid! Well, at least when it comes to Digimon.

Hmm, interesting. I had downloaded that song a while ago on a whim, actually. Never did think about it for Yoshino though. Has possibilities, I'll listen to it a few times and see if I can come up with anything. I figured you would be able to come up with a song for Yoshino ^^

I know I'm late to the game, but I wanna say that Primo's recommendation of "Lithium Flower" was an awesome one and I would love to see it to a Yoshino vid.

...To be honest, I'm not sure what to make about Lithium Flower. It's a really cool song, but there's so much talk abou surfing, I'm not sure what to do with it ^^;
