It's chess meets Chinese checkers. <.<
How we're going to play this game escapes me, unless we're editing an image of the board after each move. However, you're here to do the planning, not I, so I'll wait to see what entity plan has been devised.

This looks like it will be a lot of fun. The time should be good for me, so I hope it'll be good for everyone else too. ^^

After a heated four-way battle with logs that are tl;dr but very funny, the board finally looked like this, at Joey's turn.

Surviving uncertainness of rules in a four-way, a sleepy pic-updater who failed many times (don't look at me!) and eight hours of straight battle, Joey managed to win the game. Ebbit had been checkmated at this point by a cross fire of green and pink sparkles. I resigned since Spire had betrayed me anyway. So the results...

1. Joey
2. Spire
3. Zelsius
4. Ebbit

Congratulations, Joey! <3
We now enter the second to last round.

The winners of those games enter the final. So good luck!

He played a good game, but it spiraled in the end. (Your avatar's still cuter than mine, though. >>)

So, after only over a month of struggling with Spire moving, overall business, and time zones, I have come to the conclusion I won't find the time to concentrate on a game with Spire anytime soon.
It is clear he would have won anyway, though, so I step back and let him play the final with Ebbit directly.

Last round! Good luck, you two!
