VLC (VideoLAN) player question

I want to get a bunch of screenshots in a sequence, but when I hold down the hotkey for screenshots, it works for a while but then the video freezes (Sound keeps going) What can I do to get a sequence of screenshots?

Try giving it extra priority. Or you could try getting screenshots manually.
