Well.

1. What OS do you use.
2. Did you try to hold down shift for 20 seconds till the sticky key pops up and then disable sticky keys. (This is for windows)
3 What type of keyboard, thought this should not make a difference.

Guess I'm fired now
Kaz, you should really use caps when you type. It makes you look like a child if you dont.

On topic please~

And Kazemon, it more than most likely is your keyboard. Check the keys to see that none of them are jammed and look under them. On some keyboards, you can physically remove the key, then you could see if you broke anything, just don't break it because of me by accident ^^;. I had mine jammed once(only it was my contol key) and it came out easily and then I just put it back in and it worked =D
Anyway, you still have the capslock button right? ;D

Well actually before you remove the key, does the right or left one work? Or does it feel like it doesn't go down as far as before or as far as other keys go?

Though if you need to remove the key it is easy just get a small flathead screwdriver and then pry the key off (Apply force upwards as much as possible, you don't wanna break the small plastic prongs.), I have seen in some instanceses were there will be a metal bracket, that will stabilize the key when pressing, this is a little annoying to put back, if you do have that, well there should be a little hook on the bottom of the keyboard that the bracket goes into, so when you are putting the key back, make sure the bracket going in the hook as you are putting in the key the slot (You might need a small fine point tool, or what ever you have handy that is small). I hope that helps, if you need more help just ask.

thaaaanks....my true friend...hagaren is mean. lol

anyway, yes back on topic, lol. i have tried to take apart the keyboard, nothing seemed broken at all...and it's only the shift keys, both of them, which dont work...so i dont think it is the keyboard...the one on the left doesnt work so i try the one on the right, it still doesnt work...i tried unplugging and replugging the keyboard, nothing works...

if i can find my extra other keyboard [im moving at the moment which is why i couldnt get back to ya sooner] im gonna try to plug that one in...if that one doesnt work, then i know for sure i typed some unknown forbidden program which makes the computer hate shift keys.

thanks for more advice though. im still trying to find a solution...lol and caps lock....i hate that so much..lol and caps lock doesnt help give you exclimation marks and question marks too....i love using those...im an english fix person addict, so this is driving me absolutely crazy[enter exclimation mark here, lol] ..gah, you know what, im gonna go steal my friend's laptop to type on the forums until my keyboard is fixed. hmmm i hope someone knows what else could be wrong besides the keyboard itself. thanks again, guys. and im off to get the laptop. ;)

Well, I am guessing that sticky keys was not enabled. Did you try to uninstall and install the keyboard software? Oh and heh heh I should have said this too, you didn't spill any liquids on the keyboard did you? That could kill the keys. Also, what keyboard and OS please.
