Ryuusei Dubbed name rant

I just saw all the dubbed names for Star Force 2, and I feel like going on a rant. Why does Capcom even change the Japanese names in the first place?! If anybody feels like joining me, I will be more than happy to have somebody to rant with.

...Because in virtually every situation, failing to localize names serves only to alienate the audience?

And it's not like they've done a bad job; pretty much all of the JP puns are intact.

The only one I don't get is 'Ra Mu' to 'Le Mu' (and to a lesser extent, Solo to Rogue (unless that's Burai to Rogue, in which case never mind)), but it doesn't matter that much.

Bly -> Rogue, Solo stayed the same.

And dude, the Japanese names are just as punny as the English. I don't want to keep saying this.
