Need a little help

ok i need to know what format i can put on a dvd-r to play on my tv because i what to watch my anime on my new big screen.

also what program can i use to do this.

Errr, you mean burning fansubs to DVDs? You can burn just about any fansub (though softsubs are harder) to a DVD using just about any DVD burning program. Nero is the most common one, if you want to use that. (Though it costs money)
Just google around for DVD burning programs, you should find a ton of freeware ones if you don't want to pay anything~

Make sure you have a good converter program for your files too. I use TMPGEnc to make compliant MPEG-1 copies of my .AVI files for my VCDs, but the MPEG-2 format necessary for DVDs is only available the first 30 days you have the program.

My vote goes to Nero.

It automatically does everything for you from "Drag AVI here" to "look a DVD!". It's the best thing I've ever used.

It does the most common AVI and MPG. Not sure what else it does since that's all I use. MVK is Satan's format. >.>
