Anyone advise how i can turn a MP4 to a .avi without having to learn how to freaking encode.

Use some sort of File Transverse Program.

If you're willing to have kinda shitty quality, then just make a AVS file

ex: episode.avs

In the AVS file (plain text):
DirectShowSource("link/to/video.mp4")

Then just do a quick encode in VDub and it'll look okay.

I'm trying to learn how to encode AVI to MP4. <_< Dunno if it's the same process from MP4 to AVI....

I know how to convert MKV to AVI with quite good decent quality....dunno if it works for MP4...I have a converter for it...

MediaCoder might work. I convert to AVI with that all the time.

I prefer .avi to .mp4

Pazera MP4 to AVI converter is a free one. Haven't tried it really.

There are many video converter in WEB you can go to google and search as you want like.
