Main page updates
As some of you may have noticed, yesterday, I went and edited up the portal. Changed the banner and a few of the colors... and went through and updated all the project pages with up to date releases.
At the same time, I changed the status of a number of projects from "Active" to "Eternal Side Projects". For those that don't understand what it means, it means that they are still being worked on, but they will be SLOW. As in one-release-a-month, or even slower than that. Or, as with Pokemon or the Terra specials, we'll do something if we feel like it. We may sub another Pokemon episode. We'll finish the last Terra special whenever we feel like it. They are not dropped, but are not active. They will be done whenever we can, or feel like it.
So please, don't sit and whine about us being slow. Like on Deltora Quest, we keep getting comments like "Just resubbing episodes that have already been done." By what? A shit group! We're quality subs here, and yeah, we're slow. But you can know that our stuff is top notch. We're not going to rush something out to appease you leechers.
But yes, the status changes left the "Active" subbing down to 6 projects. One of which I don't even know if/when we'd get anymore episodes. (Infinite Space) These are the only shows that we're really "pushing forward" on heavily. (+1 that hasn't been released yet, and will hopefully soon) These are the projects that will probably be finished up first. They're the ones that you can expect rather constant releases on. 3 weeks probably won't pass between releases. (And if it does, you can expect a big release batch!)
We really appreciate all the feedback that we get on our releases, but before you go on about how we have too many projects and blah blah blah, remember that DATS has a lot of translators on the team, and a single one has more than 2 projects. (Futamaru, if you're curious, and that's because he's just THAT awesome. He does a lot of smaller things on the side too ) We're not like some groups, and load all of our projects onto one or two translators. They're just all really good at what they do, but also busy with their lives. (We have a number of translators that do J-E translating for a living - who wants to translate all day, then come home and translate some more?)
So yeah, enjoy what we've been releasing. Enjoy what we will be releasing soon. (We have three shows in the works right now, and I think all parts of our fanbase will enjoy at least one of them! From our Candy Boy fans to our Rockman fans :3)
Thanks, and ttyl!
