Finally i shall get my demonic helper.....

.....after 2 years of asking my parents (since i still live at home cheapest option) they finally said yes to me getting a cat

I'm sooooo happy not going to get one til after the new year gives me time to get bowls, bedding and find a cat shelter near us to take a cat from there.

Make sure you're good and selective when you're getting one..don't just go on how pretty they are. My family's had quite a few cats, and we've gotten our share of rotten apples. All of them were kittens from shelters. They were (and still are) EXTREMELY food-aggressive and refused to use the litter boxes.

But congrats! I've also had some very good cats, and I have to say it's a great thing when it works out. Take good care of him/her.

I hope you or someone in your family isn't allergic. My mom, brother, and I were when we got our first cat (none of us had any idea at the time), and since we refuse to get rid of what we decide to keep, we had to go through months and months of sneezing, runny nose, itchy skin, etc before we built up immunity.
Sadly it's only immunity built against our house cat. I recently volunteered at an animal shelter socializing with abandoned kitties and my symptoms all came back again. D:

But still, congratulations! Cats are lovely.

My two cats chose me as strays, so I'm not very good with saying what makes a good pet.. but good luck. Be sure to pay attention to it alot.. we've got one of mine acting like a dog (she's leash trained, comes when you call, sits and shakes paw X3)

Honestly, I think I'm partially allergic to my cats (or it really is just because of how cold the house is), but ...it'd be worth it for them~~ Congrats Vande~

yes there will be pictures when i get the cat - it will be a house cat so he or she must be litter box trained. As long as it is loving and affectionate i won't mind
