A Letter to Capcom regarding RnR3...

I wrote and emailed this letter to Capcom about... 10 minutes ago. I was informed I shall receive a response within 8 Business Hours. I'll post the reply here as well, considering how many people want an answer about the pre-order stuff.

Do you plan to keep the Pre-Order Gifts offered with
the Japanese game "Ryuusei No Rockman 3", with the
English Release? I personally feel that this would be
extremely beneficial to Capcom, as many of us U.S.
Gamers are quite envious of the extras you include
with games over there. It would certainly warrant my
pre-order, and I know many others who would follow in
my footsteps.

Also, I must express my disappointment with some of
the translation in Mega Man Star Force 2 - For
instance, the characters "Ra Mu" and "Orihime" were
changed to "Le Mu" and "Vega". While I'm sure you had
your reasons, the names simply do not make sense in
the English versions. "Ra" was an Egyptian God, and
Egypt is strongly tied to the legends of Atlantis and
Mu, whereas "Le" is simply a Spanish and French
Pronoun. I am not sure why you changed the name
Orihime to Vega - Now I cannot look at her without
thinking of Vega from a fighting game (Street
Fighter? I don't remember which fighting game the
name is from..)

One more thing I must address - You are doing an
EXCELLENT job with the Resident Evil series. 4 was
superb, I'm going to pick up RE: Degeneration the
very day it comes out, RE5 looks to be another
excellent addition.
Keep up the good work!

Capcom's reply:

On 11/18/2008 you posed a question to CAPCOM Customer Support which was noted as inquiry 9138.Response:

Hello Alex,

Thank you for contacting Capcom! We appreciate the time you took to write us your comments & questions. There has been no announcement on whether Mega Man Star Force 3 will have the same preorder gifts as it's Japanese counterparts.

HOWEVER..... Now at least they know that many people would /like/ to have the Pre-Order gifts... that may well sway them.

Indeed. Just remember guys - When dealing with game companies, politeness is everything. Don't scream, curse, or demand. Provide incentives as to why they should or shouldn't do something. Speak intelligently and with good grammar, and they're far more likely to listen to you.

Yeah, I know. 90% of the DATS forum members already knew this, but there's always that one or two people..
