Isn't it less useful in this gen as Dragon is now weak to Fairy types?

Though that may be more because I have a Doublade with both a steel and fighting type move, so I almost always have a super effective attack against pretty much any Ice dual type.

And I'm finally on the final gym battle for pokemon. Ice types are kind of a pushover really….

Also, I just realized that if you encounter a pokemon you've already caught it shows it in the top right corner of the top screen. I wish I had learned this a lot earlier.

I ended up using Ultraballs because I didn't realize my Breloom was part fighting type (I have Spore and False Swipe on it), so Xerneas one-shotted it. Still, it only took 3 throws before I caught it and it was at more than half healthy without any status effects. Are legendaries supposed to be...

I'm regretting not bringing a ground or psychic pokemon for all these battles against Team Flare. Pure Ground and poison/dark types are annoying to deal with my current team.

I like how I've been using my Talonflame which I got from a Fletching on Route 2 more than the fire starter. Fire/Flying types are nice.

So, I was looking up a Pokemon's type, and I found this. "It evolves from Inkay starting at level 30 while the 3DS is held upside-down." So, they did crowbar the 3DS motion controls thingy into this game somewhere.

I just want to know more about the general world of Pokemon, so I don't mind that.

Still, now that I've played a bit of this, I would like to play the others. If only to learn more about the setting.

I have no idea. Though the stuff NPCs keep telling me is actually pretty fascinating in this game. Also, apparently people do eat pokemon.

I honestly don't totally get what exactly legendaries are in Pokemon. My closest guess is they're like Magic the Gathering's Planeswalkers or Legendary creatures where according to canon only one of them exist and can be in play on the field at a time.
