I'm confused as to why you're confused. ^^ Yesterday was August 1, "Odaiba Memorial Day" because that's when Digimon Adventure took place. August 1, 1999 and even in the show (Digimon Adventure 02), they pointed out that every year the group got together to celebrate when they first met their Digimon partners and to give their respects to Wizarmon who died that day.

They had an actual event in Odaiba yesterday to celebrate the series' 15th anniversary and they announced that next spring, they'll do another Adventure anime series with the older kids (Taichi, Sora, Yamato, Jou, Koushirou, Mimi) in high school and I guess the younger ones in junior high school (Takeru, Hikari, Daisuke, Ken, Miyako) and elementary (Iori). So to celebrate Adventure hitting 15 years, they're continuing the Adventure anime.

I can't wait for it! Although, some more information about it would be nice. I'm curious about the seiyuu and if they're going to change them for Taichi and Koushirou....or maybe not. Who knows. Maybe they could keep their seiyuu, only have them sound older. I wonder what the story will be. I wonder if an old enemy will appear. Ooooo, I wonder if we'll finally get a proper story with Demon! I liked Demon so much, I went into fic mode years ago and made up my Digimon Adventure 03. lol

Sorry. Just so happy over this revelation. ^^

Oh....never mind then. For me, out of the first five series, Frontier was my least enjoyed. I liked it fine for the first half, but later on it was too Takuya and Kouji heavy for my liking. I also felt that Kouichi should've had more done on him given the situation his character was in. I also still would've liked the twist ending of
Kouichi dying....
, but oh well.

I've only watched Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, Digimon Tamers, Digimon Frontier, and Digimon Savers. Last August I did see the first couple of eps of XRos Wars as someone I knew of was streaming eps to celebrate her "Odaiba Memorial Day". It was okay, but I haven't gone back to it.

Out of the ones I have seen though (first five), I still feel Tamers was the best. The story was okay, the characters were cool, and it, at no point, felt like the Takato show. The main three (Takato, Ruki, Jenrya) always remained the main three. Sure Takato got more stand out scenes, but he never was set up to hog it, imo. I also liked the fact that all of the problems were caused by human error, mostly.

Even though I liked something about the other five series (and still find Tamers best series of the first five), Adventure/Adventure 02, for me, have some of the most...interesting characters for me, or it was just easier for me to get attached to them or something compared to the later series.

I think it's mostly because my tastes in anime. I've never really liked proxy battles in anime, but Frontier was them actually turning into Digimon, so no actual proxy battles. That and I've always been fond of humans transforming into monstrous creature stuff. It was pretty much just really relevant to my interests.

I want to watch the rest, but it's all the type of stuff I would need to watch with friends to properly enjoy.
